Our Journey

Nicholas Bruce started Bruce Estate Law in 2024 to create an environment where clients could address their estate planning, tax planning, wealth transfer, and investment management needs holistically, ensuring all aspects of their financial life work together seamlessly.

Nick grew up in Dallas, Texas, and attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, for undergrad. While at Furman, he met Christina (Minotty), whom he married in 2006. After law school at Southern Methodist University, they moved to Savannah, Georgia, where Christina pursued her dream of being an interior designer. After several years of practising law in Savannah, Nick and Christina relocated to Vero to be closer to her family. In 2011, Nick joined Collins Brown Barkett, where he worked until early 2021. During this time, he graduated from Boston University with an LL.M. in Tax and was board certified by the Florida Board of Legal Specialization in Wills, Trusts, and Estates.

Effective estate planning starts with an in-depth meeting with a qualified attorney to assess your individual situation, goals, and needs. A visual plan design is created to provide a clear understanding of the estate plan. After the documents are prepared and executed, the process requires implementation, where assets are retitled, and beneficiary designations are updated to ensure they follow the predetermined wishes expressed in the estate plan.

In 2021, Nick left private practice to join UBS as a financial advisor. This role allowed him to help clients and their families on an ongoing basis and react quickly to changes in their circumstances. While at UBS, he earned certifications as a Certified Financial Planner®, Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, strengthening his commitment to learning and helping clients.

In 2024, Nick founded Bruce Estate Law, PLLC, and Bruce Wealth Group to provide holistic guidance in financial planning and wealth transfer, including estate planning, probate, corporate compliance matters, and related legal services. Wealth management services are optional and offered through Bruce Wealth Group, which is not a prerequisite for engaging Bruce Estate Law for legal needs.
