WHO WE ARE
About Us
Nicholas Bruce founded Bruce Estate Law in 2024 to create an environment where clients can address estate planning, tax planning, wealth transfer, and investment management needs in one place, ensuring all aspects of their financial life work together seamlessly.
Nick grew up in Dallas, Texas and attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina for undergrad. While at Furman, he met, fell in love with, and proposed to Christina (Minotty), who he married in 2006. After law school at Southern Methodist University, he and Christina moved to Savannah, Georgia so she could pursue her dream of being an interior designer. After practicing law in Savannah for several years, Nick and Christina moved to Vero to be closer to her family and he began working at Collins Brown Barkett in 2011, where he worked until early 2021. During that time he graduated from Boston University with his LL.M. in Tax (an optional, graduate degree after law school) and was board certified by the Florida Board of Legal Specialization in Wills, Trusts and Estates.
ASSET MANAGEMENT
Estate Planning
Estate planning is about planning for uncertainty. The primary goals of an estate plan are to protect your wealth, protect your independence and quality of life, provide for your loved ones, and minimize the impact of taxes, and other costs associated with the transfer of assets.
When individuals reflect on their legacy, they often focus on the tangible possessions and financial assets they'll entrust to their loved ones. However, a legacy encompasses far more than material wealth; it encompasses the lasting influence one leaves on the world and the lives of those around them. Protecting your legacy involves taking proactive measures to ensure that the things you hold most dear are safeguarded and continued even after your absence. This is where Bruce Estate Planning comes into play. Bruce Estate Planning specializes in helping you secure your legacy through effective estate planning. We are here to guide you every step of the way.
ASSET ORGANIZATION
Estate Administration
Estate administration and probate administration refer to the same process. Any assets which are owned in the sole name of the decedent, which have no beneficiary designations, must fall into the decedent’s estate and the only way to transfer or sell estate assets, aka probate assets, is to initiate the appropriate court supervised probate process.
